Joined after a Carnelian ID issue

Greetings! I’ve been into crystals for years and ended up here after trying to figure out if a Carnelian from a Eugene gem fair is legit.

Was the stone translucent or more opaque? You can test it with a light source or check for bubbles if it's glass? Feel free to post a photo or description, members here love helping with IDs. Welcome to the forum @goopy soul!
