Charging crystals in rainwater?

Hi all. I have question about charging crystals. I heard of moonlight and sunlight charging, but what about rainwater? Anyone tried it? Would love to hear your thoughts!

A friend taught me to use rainwater as a cleansing step, then recharge with moonlight.Done this with quartz and amethyst, and it gave them a softer energy. I avoid it with softer stones though.

I don't charge crystals in rainwater, but I know many people in spiritual practices do this to cleanse and charge their crystals, believing it offers the powerful energy of renewal and natural purification.
I heard it's effective, especially for durable, water safe stones
