Practical crystal grid for a shared living space

My roommate and I keep late hours and her schedule often throws off my sleep, so I decided to create a crystal grid in my bedroom to help reset the energy. I used amethyst clusters at the four corners of the bed, a selenite wand across the headboard, and rose quartz in the middle to keep the energy gentle. I could feel the shift within a couple of nights, almost like the room became quieter. Since I've been into crystals for over a decade, I try to balance practical placement with intuition. Do any of you incorporate black tourmaline in a sleep grid or is that better suited for grounding during the day?

Black tourmaline is awesome for sleep grids because it blocks bad energy. Just put it near the bottom of the bed, not up by your head.

That setup actually sounds pretty chill. I've never gone all out with grids, but I keep a chunk of black tourmaline by the door instead of near the bed. Some folks say it's too "heavy" for sleep, but if it feels right to you, maybe worth trying in a corner instead of smack next to the pillow.

I've seen guides mention placing black tourmaline near the head, so I'm wondering why the foot of the bed is preferred. Is it about keeping the energy flow more balanced or avoiding overstimulation near the crown area? Also, for anyone using it regularly, do you find its energy is too strong when paired with softer stones like the rose quartz I'm using?

@Neko_Sam Black tourmaline is a great idea, but you need to be careful bcs for some people, it can feel a little too heavy or intense for a sleep grid, almost like it grounds you too much.
If you try it and feel a bit restless, an alternative like Smoky Quartz might be a better fit. It offers a similar grounding and protective energy but in a much softer, more gentle way that's perfect for a restful night

I’ll test both placements over the next couple weeks to see which feels more balanced with the rose quartz already in the grid. For those who found tourmaline too intense near the bed, did you notice the effect right away or only after a few nights?
