How to stop citrine from fading?

I’ve been trying to make jewelry with citrine. It’s a bright, sunny stone and I love how it shines. But I’ve noticed the color fades when it sits in sunlight. For anyone who works with citrine, how do you stop it from losing its color? Any suggestions are welcome!

hello m1ssjade I ran into the same thing when I started making pendants. Citrine really can fade if it gets too much direct sunlight. I just keep mine in a dark jewelry box when I’m not wearing it, and that’s helped the color stay the same

I recommend rotating your jewelry. Wear it, enjoy it, then tuck it back into a drawer or jewelry box so it doesn’t sit in sunlight all day.

As for my sister, she just kept it away from the sunlight and I can she has it in a soft cloth bag. Thanks for the tips, everyone!
