Looking for crystal advice

I moved into a new apartment in Fort Worth a couple of months ago and ever since, I've been having really disturbing dreams, sometimes multiple times a night. I wear a rose quartz pendant every day because it makes me feel more balanced and I keep a clear quartz point on my desk at work. I don't know if it's the new space or just stress but nothing's helping me sleep better. A friend suggested trying a piece of howlite or placing selenite around the bedroom. Has anyone found certain crystals effective for calming the mind at night or stopping recurring bad dreams?

You're adjusting to the new apartment. What you are describing could be linked to the move but it might also be a sign of deeper stress. Howlite is often recommended for its calming properties and selenite is believed by some to cleanse a space's energy. Use a piece of howlite under your pillow or a selenite wand on your nightstand. That's an easy experiment to see if it brings you any relief. You could also try making a small crystal grid with your rose quartz to promote feelings of calm before you go to bed.

I like the idea of putting howlite under my pillow and will try it once I find a piece. Your suggestion to make a crystal grid with my rose quartz sounds interesting, since I haven't done that before. I'm planning to visit a crystal shop in Fort Worth this weekend to look for selenite and howlite. As a beginner, what simple pattern or layout would you suggest for a calming grid?

Crystals aren’t a guaranteed fix, but howlite and selenite are the go-to for sleep issues. If you test them, start small with one stone first. I’d also try a dream journal alongside... sometimes writing it down reduces the stress of recurring dreams.

You’re right about starting small and I’ll try howlite first before layering in selenite or a grid. I’ve never kept a dream journal before but I’ll give it a shot alongside the crystal shift. Have you noticed any patterns in your own dreams when using howlite or does it just help with falling asleep?
