Finding a moldavite

My girlfriend's really into meditation and asked me to help her find a piece of moldavite. I've seen listings that say it's ethically sourced, but the prices are all over the map and I'm not sure what's legit. Is there any way to tell if it's the real deal and not something pulled from a questionable source?

@flowerdale88 yeah, Moldavite is rare, so if a deal looks too good to be true, it absolutely is.
Look for a seller who shows the exact piece you're buying, gives the weight in grams, and lists the dimensions. Also, check their reviews, especially for any mention of fakes

hi @FlamencoApple To spot a fake, first thing you should pay attention is the texture and air bubbles.
Genuine Moldavite will have a deeply etched, chaotic, and bubbly surface known as pitting or worm tracks. It was formed during an impact event, not in a lab.
Fakes often look too glossy, too uniformly colored (usually a very dark green), and if you look through them, the internal bubbles are usually perfectly round, whereas real Moldavite bubbles are often elongated or flattened
