I've got a rose quartz tower sitting on my bedside table, right by a sunny east-facing window. It doesn't get direct sun, just the soft morning light. Recently, it seems a bit less vibrant. Do you think that indoor daylight or changes in humidity with the seasons could be the reason for this?

Soft morning light is usually gentle on rose quartz, so it's probably not the sun itself. Probably seasonal changes in humidity or dust buildup dulling its appearance

Rose quartz can fade a little over time if it gets light, even indoors. Morning sun plus seasonal humidity shifts could be dulling the look, but it's more likely just the light exposure slowly taking its toll

yeah, you're not imagining things, even soft, indirect morning light still has enough UV rays to cause rose quartz to fade over time.
It's one of the more light sensitive crystals, and it will lose that vibrant pink color if it gets too much sun. The best thing you can do is move it to a spot where it gets no sun at all, even indirect light

Instead of the sun, place your rose quartz on a windowsill during a full moon to cleanse and recharge its energy without the risk of fading
also avoid temperature changes. Sudden temperature shifts can cause micro fractures in the crystal, so keep it away from heat vents or cold drafts
