A gift that stayed

My ex gave me a labradorite palm stone back in 2020 when I was going through a rough patch. I didn't know much about crystals at the time, but the flash in that stone pulled me in. I later learned it was high-grade Madagascar labradorite and probably cost more than he let on. I still keep it on my desk and it's held up through a lot. Does anyone else still hold onto a crystal gift from someone they're no longer close with?

Does a stone with a long personal history like my labradorite require a different kind of energetic cleansing than a newer piece?
